It's Sunday morning, all is quiet, the sun is shining & the sky is blue.
Time for a trip to Bolsover to catch up on what has been happening over the last couple of days.
So Bolsover on a Sunday morning seems to be a haven for cyclists, many sitting out in the sun having an early morning breakfast at Weatherspoons.
Park the car, walk to Old Bolsover Yard & what do I see? The front elevation of the Workshop, which had just been stripped the last time I was here has been re-dressed, and you really wouldn't know that it wasn't the original roofing, or that it had been touched since the day is was built!
To the left of me as I stand there marvelling at the sight, the single storey workshop block - where the units are - has been stripped of its roof tiles & the waterproof membrane has been fixed & the cross members (probably not the right term!) are in place awaiting the tiles being put back on.
Moving toward the back of the 'site', I notice that the outside wall of the workshop has been cleared of its old plaster & is 'shining' proudly in the morning sunshine.
Some scaffold has been put up at the rear of the workshop ready to start on the back elevation of the roof.
So there we are - only a few days into the work & it is looking a completely different place. What will it be like this time next week? Who knows!!
Took a few piccies whilst I was there to show what is happening.
Thanks for coming back to the OBY (can't keep typing 'Old Bolsover Yard!!) website & blog page.
More to come very soon!
